I have also received the following message on my prepaid optus mobile in sydney Thai GSMA. association of Thailand. To get your check, send ur name & address by sms to +2348O68695O22. I think, Of course this is a scam from Nigeria.
message was as follows;
sender name: SARKOZY;
“U’ve won 200,000.00 Dollars in a loto organized by the Thailand branch of the GSM Association. Send ur name/address by sms to +2348068695022 so we can post ur check.”
i got a strange message from this number saying that i won 200,000 AUS, send your email add by sms txt and they will let me know how i will receive it.
i just received this as well a matter of minutes ago. you should definitely report it to the ACMA. just search 'report spam' on google and it should show up.
thought it was my lucky day as i got same message too this morning..
i sent a txt back with my email, now i'm worried where the txt came from.
should i do anything about it?
