I have also received the following message on my prepaid optus mobile in sydney Thai GSMA. association of Thailand. To get your check, send ur name & address by sms to +2348O68695O22. I think, Of course this is a scam from Nigeria.
message was as follows;
sender name: SARKOZY;
“U’ve won 200,000.00 Dollars in a loto organized by the Thailand branch of the GSM Association. Send ur name/address by sms to +2348068695022 so we can post ur check.”
I got the same SMS. +234 is the county code for Nigeria. I recommend that you never
reply to this message. An SMS to that number could cost you hundreds or even more. Any email you sent them will be sold to the spammers. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
You've won 200,000 AUD,send your email address by sms text message to: +2348068695022 to enable us send you an email with information on how you will receive it - got this this morning. Didn't send email as could cost a bomb!!
