I just got the call at home (6:24 P.M. PST). The caller ID just says Florida but when I looked it up on Google, the number shows belonging to John/Louise Mckelfresh. Like everyone else here it was about auto warranty expiring. I don't own any type of vehicle. Why are unsolicited phone calls coming from, what seems to be, a residential phone number? I'm in Vancouver, BC (Canada) so how does someone in Florida get my number?
Follow-up to my last comment:
It seems some people here have spoken to a real person when receiving this call. I didn't. The call was totally automated.
I just got a call from this number. this is the 5th time i've received a call from them. I just googled the number and this page came up- i dont know why i didnt do it earlier, but because i just bought a car i thought it was real. I actually talked to a person on one occasion and told them there was no way my warranty was going to expire considering i just bought a car. They apologized and said they'd take me off the "list" but i just got called again. Where do we report this [***]?
they just called my wife and said our warranty was expired and they needed some personal info - my wife wouldn't give it and asked if she could call back - they said no since they were only a 'call out' centre and couldn't receive calls !
