I got a call/VM saying he was with Public Clearing House and I just won $875,000 worth of new Mercedes car and to call this # back to receive my prize. Didn't even make it sound legit.
Received this call today. I dont answet strange numbers, figure if its somethingI I need to know, they will leave a voicemail. They did'nt. So I plucked the number in my browser and ended up here. Now I know not to answer. Thank u everyone!
"Sherriff Jeff" was calling me from 239-676-4132 to tell me that he had arrested my girlfriend for speeding in Florida and that I needed to pay $475 to get her out of jail. "my girlfriend" was in on it texting me to please pay the money. First off she wasn't my girlfriend, just someone I had been chatting with on line. She goes by the screen name of Kathleen Sweyln Hilton and Sweylen Ann Hote. She uses a google number os 860-469-5076. Scam artists.
