Yes, Scott, I agree. The FOP changes up their numbers to try to get as much response, as they can. I begin to think that they're nothing more than a PAC, for a particular political party. I have a soft spot in my heart for the police (my grandfather was a great cop), but not for the FOP, who uses strong-armed and fraudulent tactics to collect funds. Then, they support a party which is not friendly, to say the least, to cops. Nope, they have seen the last of my support. My call was received 5/1/14, at 7:37PM. If they purport to be a good cause, why can't they use a caller ID, with something other than an "Out of Area" display? I don't know why they're not subject to DNC calls, because I know that I've asked, several times, that they take my number off of their list.

This number and another similar number registered to a bail bondsman have been ringing my phone multiple times at all hours never leaving a message on my answering service and I finally had enough of it so I answered it. The first thing he said is that he was with The Maryland State Police. When he said his name the last name was the exact same as the bail bondsman's. Then the next thing he said was that the call was going to be recorded for quality control. I told him don't bother I'm not interested and hung up. If the Maryland State Police ever have any official business with me they can leave a message or come to my home in person. One thing for sure is if they are recording it the reason certainly isn't for quality control!!!!
...and I might add if he was a bail bondsman and identified himself as a Maryland State Police that is a crime (impersonating an officer) in the state of Maryland.
