I was totally confused as to why these people kept contacting me, so I tried calling them back & just got automated recordings from a company called Pentigroup Financial. I don't have any outstanding debt, so seeing that this is happening to other people assures me this is a scam.
got a phone call this morning 6-15-09 from 241-210-7058 and this is a call forwarding from my office to my cell phone. with a recording on please wait you are being connected to one of our representatives, the a bit later came back on saying please wait onme of our representatives will be with you in just a moment. that's when I hung up.
This number called my office this morning and a woman asked for "Juan". When I started to say there is no Juan here, the woman hung up on me mid sentence. I immediately called the number that popped up on my caller ID back, and the same woman answered "Hello?" I knew it was the same woman who hung up on me, and I told her that someone just called my office and hung up on me and I felt it was rather rude. She gave me some line about how the numbers are automatically dialed, etc. But I could tell hear the guilt in her voice, and I'm sure she knew that I knew she was the one who had rudely hung up on me. I was kind of surprised someone actually answered. Guess I called back fast enough for her not to get the recording thing set up lol
