I just got a call from these ppl. Did not answer as I screen my calls...very carefully. I also do not call ppl back if I don't know who they are or don't recognize the number. They left a message but did not state who they were looking for.
i just got off the phone with these people. They are going by the name PENTEGROUP FINANCIAL. They told me i still owe relient energy $800+ even though i have not lived at the address in over 3 months and paid the debt about that long ago.
Automated message that was a bit garbled and left out key parts such as to whom the call was directed and the number one should call back. I too had a bad experience with Dell a few years back. Apparently these bottom feeders purchased a list of people who suffered from Dell's marginally legal corporate practices (recently the AG in Tx settled for $3.9 mil for a range of "consumer complaints"). Texas is notoriously pro-corporate/pro-business (see "Bush Adm."). Unfortunately the settlement only covers more recent cases on or after April 1, 2005. Best strategy, in my opinion, ignore them. Don't answer or just pick up and hang up when they call.
they call and don't leave a message; i believe its from a debt on which the statute of limitations has expired to collect (over 5years). i'll never pay them. F$%K them.
