Try being the person with a 402 area code and the same number. I've had 9 phone calls from people in the last 3 days saying that I just called them. The last person I talked to was nice and double checked her caller ID. She realized that the number was 240 and not 402. I am livid!!!!! I have had my phone number for 8 years and do not want to have to change it but this is getting extremely old and extremely fast.
I too get these auto warranty calls sometimes 5-10 a day. I usually tell them to hold on and then i put the phone down. They start cussing and yelling at me. Oh well. As soon as I ask for the company name or supervisor, they cuss at me and hang up on me. Once I told them I needed insurance for a 1927 Model A Ford. The girl says Very Funny. And slammed the phone down on me.
I don't know what we can do. There must be someplace we can call to get help with this.
if we all press one and ask them how many time do we have to push "2" to be removed maybe we will give them a taste of their own medicine. let's try harrassing them like they harrass us.
I had just received a call from this number on my home phone. The caller ID said it was Smith R., as well as the phone number, 240-210-7077. We don't answer our phone if we don't recognize a number, and this person left no message. I guess the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY is a real waste. I have been on that list since it started, but in the last year my phone rings constantly, from early morning to 9:00 p.m.
