I'm in Chicago - whoever this jerk is has called my cell 7 times in 2 hours. First 2 calls they hung up when I answered. Answered the last call just now and late '20s/early '30s male asking for Charlie Body. I said hes got the wrong number, he than asked if I knew Charlie Body and a phone number - I said get a life.
My husband recieved a call from them, they are a collection agency for Verizon. I ended up with the phone, Eric, I think his name was, did not verify any information and told me to pay my bills, I asked to speak to a supervisor and he gave me this phone # 888-838-1523 to call , and of course it is a non-working number. I asked to speak to a supervisor again after I ask why he gave me a non-working number and he hung up.
I think your right about it being Verizon. But I don't think it's only debt collection. I don't have debt with them because my phone is a pay as you go phone. So what they are doing is ripping me off for a dollar a day because I get charged for that first call whether I answer it or not. So this will be the last time I fill my card for the next 90 days.
