The American Veterans Support Foundation (they also call from 240-241-7819), is one of those SCUM organizations that in 2013, solicited 1.9 million dollars, with virtually nothing going to Veterans (Their "expenses" were more than they took in). Google them and check out charitynavigator.org. who gave them a 0.0 star rating. The State of Tennessee also fined them $20,000 for questionable practices. Before donating to ANY charity, check them out on the internet to find out just where their (YOUR!) money goes. You will be amazed!!!
Based on many of the other posts, I am going to assume this is an alleged charity. Unfortunately the DNCR allows calls from non profit operations. The issue I have is that I believe there are many bogus operations operating as charities in order to steal money from people. Because of this, I refuse to entertain any alleged charity call.
