got a robo message on vmail telling me to call this # immediately about an IRS criminal investigation. Called and they wanted last 4 digits of my social immediately. I said how do I know this is legit and they gave me the IRS 800# to call in irritated voice. There's no way they'd just give the general IRS # for a case. Called back over weekend and there was no official sounding message then called the next week from another phone and a different guy answered "Internal Revenue Service" but still didn't sound right. Have recieved nothing in the mail- something like this would definitely come in writing.

SCAM. Mother received call and IRS rep absolutely scared and badgered her for $3000 in taxes owed or else they would take their house and someone was coming to her home. Despicable!
