Got a call from this number today. Could barely understand him. He kept saying he was from Microsoft and my computer had a virus. I started asking him all kinds of questions, then the line went silent so I hung up on him.
I received a call from this number asking for my husband by name. When I said he was unavailable and asked what I could help them with, they proceeded to tell me they're from Microsoft and that there are issues with my computer. This is not the first time i've received a call of this nature. I've received several identical calls using the same lines, but a different phone number came up on the caller ID. I told the Indian sounding woman on the phone that I know it's a scam and that i've already contacted my lawyer about the repeated harassment. Her response? A loud obnoxious noise before hanging up on me! I've really had enough with these people calling my house and annoying me! Is there anything that can be done to prevent this???
Scam as noted above. Indian accent so bad you can't understand them. Was bored so I played along. That began a 2 hour circus of telling them I didn't have a credit card so what Western Union information did they have for me to get the money to them, it's noted below. "Harry Peterman" was the first contact, he put me on to the "Technical Advisor" Kevin who eventually put me on to the "Account Department" guy Eric. They claim to be the "Windows Service Center" in Colorado Springs. For any police departments interested in catching them this is their info: website www.infosis.net downloads a virus into your computer to allow them access to your financial information. 719-996-4210(Colorado), 240-252-4879(Maryland). Western Union contact info is Henry George Ryman in Pennsylvania at 520-955-5142(Arizona). I hope there is a cop out there interested in catching these hoodlums.
Indian guy calling from "windows" saying my computer has a virus and he can fix it. Wanted me to type in some numbers so he could control it remotely. I told him to get [***]!
