megan, still.
Oh and the amounts were different that they gave me, slightly. They both had a different "case number" for me. The second caller, the one today even had a fake badge number!!!!

They also mentioned they'd put a lien on my car, home, suspend my 401K (that i don't have), freeze my accounts and medical benefits blah blah blah. I ALSO mentioned that IRS send a letter first. First guy a few weeks ago told me there was a parcel certified letter that had been signed for in April and this guy today told me an agent literally stopped by my home on May 12 and I wasn't there, therefore this was their "final attempt" to contact me. The first guy used all kinds of language that was cracking me up. He literally told me I had to go to a Walmart or Walgreens and put the $300 on a friggin Itunes card, so then I kept asking him what kind of music he was going to buy with it. This guy did direct me to the IRS payment page on the government website which was goooood.. oh so smooth. It really was, but he messed up by telling me i HAD to pick the EFTPS thing and i could not use debit, credit or bank account because it would take 2-3 days and they needed it TODAY. I drove home and talked to the first guy the entire way, trying to talk to him, catch him in a lie or something. He at one point got annoyed, and asked me how long it would take for me to get home, and told me he was putting me on hold for that period of time but I could hear him shuffling stuff. I started squealing Mmmbop to try to get him to hand up. But it was kinda fun, annoying him, telling him I was driving to Walmart when really, I went home and put him on speakerphone and eventually had my boyfriend pose as my " judge, father" who when he started asking for the guy's badge number and which branch he's in, blah blah, the guy literally stopped answering altogether. This second guy ended up pawning me off, like i mentioned in the first post, but he HAD mentioned that the transaction would have to be done while we were on the phone the whole time. Weird.

Called and left a message. It's a scam. I would never call back. If you do. They have your info.

Just received the same call everyone else has stating it was a final attempt to reach me before I was facing a federal criminal charge and had to appear before a federal grand jury or magistrate. Same robot voice as well telling me to call (240) 292-0166 to speak to a federal agent to resolve the issue immediately.  Clearly a scam - but it's hard to scam an attorney who actually knows the federal law.

Not A Foo;
I just got a call with the same cut off message as mentioned above.  I called them back from a different phone number and asked the guy why he was calling me.  He asked me what number did they call me on and I told him first tell me why you are calling me...he said "mother f***ing bi*ch".  I said "what did you just say" and he said "I didn't say anything and don't know what you're talking about".  I told him this is a scam and he should be ashamed of himself.  LOL, like that's going to make a difference.  This is probably one of those phone scams I just saw on 20/20 or Dateline the other day that is in Jamaica.  It's really a BIG problem over there.
