Some lady said something about coming to my employer for legal reasons; I never found out why, she probably mentioned it but I was so confused by the time she threatened to come to my employer; I'm retired, and she never mentioned her company name; I blocked the number, will block the area code after finishing this message; I swore at her and hung up.
I got the same call:
Received a call from this number. Clearly a robot call, because they didn't wait for the "beep" before beginning their upchuck of stupidity. First part of the message was cut off, but essentially, it was an authoritative, aggressive woman's voice stating that I was being investigated (didn't say what, of course) and they were calling to verify my employment and home address "today". It gave me a number to call and a computerized "case number" in which to contact "the plaintiff". In her words, failure to contact this number before I'm "served" forfeits my right to challenge this claim. I reckon I was born at night, but it certainly wasn't last night. Clearly a SCAM to get your personal data!
ID themselves as "Compliant Management Solutions". Screams
debt collector but the guy I talked to denied being a debt collector and
said his firm is an "arbitration firm". Which is scammer double-talk for
debt collector. Clearly some sort of debt scamming operation.
