This is an aftermarket auto extended warranty *scam*! 2 calls today from them from *different* area codes. Looking for someone that had an Infinity that the manufacturers warranty was about to run out. both times I [***] around with them to get info as to who they were calling for. Same dude both times. The other number from them was 732-807-5611. same background callcenter noise. my number is TN areacode yet the person they were calling for was in Brooklyn, NY. Obviously a Robo calling system. No way these guys are legit. Wanted me to buy their extended coverage. When I said they had already called early, but from 732 (New Jersey), they seemed quite "surprised". For grins, when she asked how many miles I had on it after 2 years, I told her 70,000. "Wow! You sure drive a lot of miles!" Then I told her I sold it, and she hung up on me. I have them blocked now. FYI.
What I can't figure out is what the end game is...they call me at work all the time and ask for Dave Smith...why? Because it's a common name, and if an internal call gets transferred they're more likely to pull off a scam. They didn't try to sell me anything, didn't seem like they're trying to clean up their internal database...seems like a tragic waste of time on their end...
