Caller claimed to be processing a legal issue filed against me. Sounded professional and official. Asked if he could place me on hold while he retrieved the attorney and client information who are filing the suit against me-- I played along knowing that this must be a scam. However, I was alarmed when he got back on the phone and read off my social security number. He asked me to verify the number (I did not) I asked him the name of the attorney or office that he was calling from. He said I must verify my social first. I said no, he said then we will see you in court. Ok..... End of conversation. I registered a fomal complaint with the local FBI and FTC. I have also flagged my credit for any potential credit fraud per the FTC's recommendation. I wish the punishment for identity theft would make these people think twice.

A bot left a VM advising I was also the plaintiff in a complaint for $4 billion/million (garbled) and to call back. I'll wait patiently for the papers.
