Got the intrusive mail survey, got angry, didn't send it in. Researched it on the net & it's unfolding just like everyone else, second survey, then phone calls from multiple numbers multiple times a day.
And you wonder why were in debt?? We've got to pay people to harass us. Bet these workers are the same idiots who hate Nazis yet are clueless to what they are doing, or say "It's different."

I have a friend who whines about how great & wonderful the gov is, wonder if he'll sing a different tune once they start bugging him. And eventually they will, everybody will get one sooner or later.
Sure, give 'em all your info, it'll make it that much easier for them to "relocate you to the East." Ahh, but that could never happen here, right???
Numbers can be spoofed though! I, too, have received calls from several different numbers all claiming to be the Census Bureau... I found that each of those, in fact, weren't from the U.S. Census Bureau at all... including from this number!!! Fact: I already filled out the long form ... less than a year ago and made damn sure all the info was correct, and accurate! If the Census Bureau needed further information they could send me a form in the mail. I don't need to provide any more than I already have (remember, I filled out that form LESS than a year ago). I also blocked and placed all these numbers on call screen. Guess what? They are still getting through! Only spoofed numbers would still be able too - because the actual number HASN'T been blocked, only the spoofed number!!!
When denied answers to these questions, they read a statement that the one called is under government research and they can pay a heavy fine. This is a scam originating in FLA, CO, GA and etc.. They do not give the correct address. The number they refer you to as well as the calling number are listed on multiple internet sites as either telemarketers or possible theft identiy rings. The Census Bureau HAS VERIFIED that they have NO IDEA and NO CONNECTION with 812-218-3144! This call came at almost 10:00 P.M. (01/06/2012)!!!

"The caller sounded drunk,heavy breather...very unprofessional...she wanted to know goofy things like "how much kerosene did we use last year" and "what was our annual gas bill" and then...income based questions. I told her to "stuff it"...she threated legal action...I said "bring it on"!!! Monday morning my conggress-critter will get a call..asking "what have you unleashed on us"?"

OH NO! I STARTED GETTING CALLS FROM THIS # YESTERDAY. THEY HAVE TRIED THIS ON ME BEFORE, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE PERSONAL INFO TO A STRANGER WHO CALLS YOU!!!
