Some middle eastern guy called claiming that I had been awarded a $14,000 grant and wanted my debit or checking account information to deposit the money. I played like I didn't have it and asked could they send it to me as a check. This is definitely a scam. They asked for no paperwork at all. I believe that if people give their account information, they are probably sucking money out of the accounts. Don't be naive, this is definitely a scam.
This number has called my landline multiple times and never left a message. I picked up once in the past without speaking to see if they would state who or why they were calling, but they did not say hello or anything. Today, I answered again and asked how their scam worked...if they were trying to steal money from people. A male with a very thick Middle Eastern or Indian accent then yelled, "You Motherf*#ker!" into the phone. I do not think a legitimate caller/company would respond in that way.
Was getting repeated calls that I didn't answer. Answered once, long enough to establish it was a sales call. Still got another call, this time I immediately said, "put me on your no call list" and got a vulgar response.
