These people call and call and call, so finally I answered just to see who it is. Yes it is Sam White (with a foreign accent) from the National Institute of Health. Gave an address and everything of the place. If I want this money he said I have to give him account numbers from my bank or credit card. If not I can go purchase a Walmart card and call them back and they will put the 14K on that to transfer to you. When I call back I would speak to a manager of which he gave me names. I ask again about the names and then it seem to change. Please so not give out info to these people.
I received 11 calls from this # yesterday (12.11.12) and already 4 today. Last night I was finally able to answer where I was told it was for a survey. I told her I wasn't interested and to not call again. I am also on the do not call list. This is ridiculous.
Claimed to be Dept. of Health & Human Services.
Informed that they were forwarding a grant from the US Govt.
Asked for personal info & banking info. I provided drivers lic. #.
She provided this phone # as a callback #. She also provided a code.
Previous post in this thread was over 3 years ago. Nothing found in a simple internet search to suggest that the number is connected with any Government Department. Might be worth contacting hhs.gov for verification.
