Who called from 2404919736

I recieved two phone calls from this number, one yesterday (3 Sept) at 10:10 and one this evening at 7:33?? Does anyone know who or what they are trying to do?  When I answered, no one is at the other end.

The call came in on a Sunday morning at 11:00Am Central Time on September 2, 2007.  A recoded message said, "This is a call from Verafast".  Then there was nothing.  I dialed *69 to obtain the number of the calling party.  Then I Googled the name Verafast and found it is a company that sells market research services and telemarket services and the like.  I had received two calls daily from this same number on the two days prior to this Sunday call.  I never answered either call, and there was no message left on my answering machine.  I don't have caller ID.

Thanks for dialing *69 instead of redial. My number is 240-4919 with a 952 area code (here in the Twin Cities). I've had several people hit redial and get me, complaining about these calls. I can't wait til it stops!

UPDATE - I had one caller tell me he answered this phone call and it is a firm for the Star Tribune asking people to renew their subscriptions.

This place called me numerous times, at least 10!  everytime I picked up it hung up on me.  Except for the one time when it said something about verifying something.
