I got a call from this number stating they are IRS and they have a warrant out for my arrest and I need to call them before they fax over the arrest warrant to the local police station.. lol .. I didn't know IRS called to warn you or even called at all
I just listened to a message from office sean smith of the Internal Revenue Service investigation to notify me of a legal case and severe charges and that I needed to call him back asap. Is this the same message you received?
It was an English accent, sounded like a computer generated call.
I received a call from this number again, and this time I received a voicemail stating that there's going to be an arrest warrant and that the charges will be faxed to the Police department, I didn't answer it and I'm not going to..., Because if there's a problem with the IRS, they would send a letter in the mail, they usually don't call..., So if anyone else receives a call like this, Do not answer, do not call back, and don't leave a message..
Was called and told that I was going to be arrested if I didnt pay an amount that I owed the IRS for 7 years of clerical errors when I filled taxes via Turbotax. Scared the [***] out of me because they wouldn't let me get off the phone until the amount was paid.. and the convo was being 'recorded.' .. i finally got away to look up the number that was calling me 240-627-7941, ext 191.. and see that it was a scam. PLEASE SOMEONE SHUT THESE [***] DOWN ASAP. This is ridiculous. BTW it got even worse and sketchier when the dude, Richard Speier, said that 3 policemen were to come and arrest me .. payments could be paid via Apple Pay.. that is when it hit me that it was a total scam.. the Gov would NEVER accept payments via Apple Pay.
