Hung up on me without saying anything.

This number is a research/survey company and if you dial 1-800-864-8601 you can register your
home number to be removed on their Do Not Call list they provide but the message states that it could take up to three days to activate. This company does not fall under the Do Not Call registry most of us are registered under to avoid telemarketing calls.

Same situation as posted below.  Rented from Enterprise last week.  A week later I received my first phone call from Merit Survey Company.  Four days later another call, all to my cell phone number.  I've called the 800 number listed in the posts below and left my number on an automated system.  This allegedly will remove it to their do not call registry.  I never authorized Enterprise Car Rentals  to sell or send my cell phone number to anyone- let along a telemarketer/survey company.  

BTW: Survey companies may have some safe guards from the do not call registry (National).

Type of Message: Automated- something about a marriage survey.

I called it back and found it was Enterprise.  To get your number removed, call 1-800-864-8601.  I did.  Hope it works.  Geeez......why do they do this...

how did these people get my private cell number?  never had these kinds of calls before. i am registering a complaint and enrolling my cell on the do not call federal registry
