Called my phone about 30 minutes ago, 9/20/2016. I answered. No one was there. Just got a call from 347-394-1623 saying "...a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our departments number 347-394-1623. I repeat, 347-394-1623. And, thank you." My number got passed around a lot, today.
Scam*** Called me and introduced himself as a credit card consolidation company that works with all of the big credit card companies. He was asking me how much Dept I was in. I told him I wasn't interested and he told me to go [***] myself. Called number back and said it was no longer in service. Obviously the scam still works bc they are still doing it.
Said they were calling from credit card services. Automated voice said to hold for a representative if I wanted to lower my credit card interest rates. When representative came on, she had a thick accent. She said I qualified for a new rate because I paid more than minimum each month and had balances over $3000. Then she asked for the card number, so I hung up.
