I was told that I did not respond to a letter sent out to an address that I have not lived at for over 8 years. They asked if I knew that I had a warrant out for me. I said no, I had not been at that address for several years. They did know my name, but could not give me my current address. If it was truly the IRS, they would have my current information.
I got a call from this number today also saying that I was being investigated for tax fraud from 2012 explain to the lady I don't see how that's possible as I have not worked in over 17 years my husband is in the military and I'm a full-time stay-at-home mom to our 4 children. she literally had me so stressed out on the phone that I was nauseated. It's hard enough to have my husband gone and then get calls like this
yes she told me I also had an arrest warrant out and I said well if I owed back taxes then why in the hell haven't you guys taking the money out of my previous taxes and I file jointly with my husband. And if that's the case and you are the IRS I shouldn't be too hard to find considering my husband is a federal employee as he's in the military
