Just go a call from this number today on my sons cell about 1030am called it back and disconnect notice. The really odd thing is that I grew up in fairhope, but haven't lived there in over twenty years.
Call received from 251-990-3701 @ Jul 9, 10:09, MDT. Phonebook lookup shows G Duke, residential number. Attempting to sell health insurance. I just let the call go on until it disconnected (eat up their time to reduce the amount of calls they make under that number). Some 32 "G Duke" residential phone numbers across America according to Google. Wonder how many are real and how many are registered against this scam, assuming they used the same name for their phone lines.
Also find the number in an old SouthCare PPO Directory. Two different Doctors are listed at that number, neither of them a G Duke.
SouthCare PPO, according to it's website, is now part of First Health Network, and subsidiary of Coventry Health Care.
Something cute here. Got an old, discoed phone number used by a doctor and tried to run a PPO scam with it. Robocall numbers and feed the 'press 1' callers to their scam switchboard.
I just got a call from this number and couldn't pick up -- was at work on a call with a client. I called it back and got a fast busy signal. I called from my work number (caller ID info only gives main number), and it rang twice then went to what almost sounded like a typical disconneted number recording -- EXCEPT -- and listen closely if you call it back -- it rang twice before the recording plays AND the people who are hired for the recordings are specifically void of any accent. This woman said, "If you feel you've reached this recording in ERA . . ." not error. I've heard this recording from other truly disconnected phones enough times to know this is bogus. This recording is someone's outgoing message on their VM, not a REAL disconnect number recording.
I have no idea what the owner of this number is up to, but I'm sure it's no good with all the track-covering they have gone through. My advice is to leave it alone and block it if you can.
