Phew, thank this board to get their number so I could turn them away before they got to my door.
First they call as if they are a survey. This is legal since I and others here are on the DNC list.
But then, they call you back and want to "confirm your answers" to the survey and they are giving away prizes for those who confirm their answers. But then they have to schedule a delivery... (this is where I want to kick myself because it was clicking in my mind). And before you know it, they had someone "stopping by to deliver the price, and they will have "something for you to see, and want your opinion on it....but it's not a sales call!" But they don't know what it is... Hmmmm Now all the bells and such are going off.
SALESPEOPLE! You know you aren't being told the truth when the caller ID goes to a number that is not in service.
I didn't have a way to turn them back, but I did have a 9mm and a large dog. I was thinking of grabbing a bottle of whiskey, put on my holster, then let the dog in the yard and hang out there until they arrived.
But I had better things to do. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to post here, especially their number so I could call them and turn their person away.
This is a loophole, survey's are legal to call DNC listed numbers, but then when they call again only to "reaffirm your answers" and send someone to your house with a prize and an unknown thing they want your opinion on, that's on the edge of legality there. Certainly not the intent for these people to be using it for.
I too would like to thank this board. For days I have been receiving calls from Country Aire Te.
Today I finally answered and, as was stated above, told the pleasant young woman, DO NOT CALL ME,
I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. She said okay, I'm sorry, and I hung up. Hopefully they will
no longer be harrassing me.
I am constantly getting called from Country Aire as well - they never say anything when I answer and it has driven me to screen all my calls. How do I stop them from calling? I'm already on the Do Not Call list.
WHen they called the 2nd time today I answered. I have had a cold for 10 days, so needless to say I am a bit grouchy! She started off in this very nice voice
"Hi, I'm Jennifer from Country Aire in Lakewood..."
"Why are you calling me?" ( I'm on the DO NOT CALL list!)
"Wowwwwww...... click!" ( Like, "wow I can't believe you're so rude"! kinda wow)
Gotta love it! For once rudeness wins out! (and I'm almost never rude!)
Then I checked out this site and felt quite justified at taking out my crabbiness on someone who should NOT BE CALLING me! Heh heh, kinda made my day....!
Thanks for the posts on this company. They've be calling me now for months(?) - I've lost track. Sometimes several times a day. I don't answer, and knowing about them, I won't. I wonder when they will get the message?
