Same as everyone else here ... getting phone calls twice daily. Caller ID = US Breast Cancer. Researched phone number, and it appears they're asking for donations for a non-reputable charity. Having just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I find this extremely offensive. Have not been answering calls. Hope they'll give up eventually.
I wouldn't even think twice about blocking these imbeciles but for the fact I had a breast lump that looked & behaved like a breast cancer. Turned out to be a non-malignant fatty tumor with really good blood flow. Few phrases in the English language are as beautiful as "No, it's not cancer" . I was pestered by a local cancer survivor group to join 'em as an example of being a male with a breast lump as well as being someone who caught it early enough even if it were cancer. That's why I didn't block these cretins at first. It's getting to the point we need whitelist-style blocking tools, allow the few who DO call us and block everything else...
Have received multiple calls from them too and block the number, but they just call again from a slightly different number....more numbers to block.
Absolutely a scam, any charity that gives less than 70% of their donations to whatever the cause is isn't worth supporting, my understanding is these people give only a about 6-7%! That means they pocket the rest - pure scam.
I am being inundated with calls from United Breast Cancer Foundation - and yes, HUGE scammers. Google it and there are LOTS of results, NONE of them good. In fact, they're on the list of America's Worst Charities. Usually my Caller ID says "United Breast Cancer F" but just now it simply had "2532209602" -- too bad, I have the number blocked as well as the name. So even though they changed the name showing on my CID, the number was still there. Such scammers. They've been calling constantly since Monday (it's now Friday), from the above number and from 253-220-9550. They can keep calling, I can keep blocking.
Same as most of the above---call two or three times a day--no message or dead air. Glad for the info on the scam charity; figured as much. Don't they know we never donate over the phone?!
