Scammers called me today at 5:35 pm. Caller ID said "ALERT". A woman's recorded voice blathering on about some sort of special senior benefit to get $3000 of grocery gift cards. I'm not a senior, you scammin' fools! Made it sound all official when it's just a scam. Did I mention that it's a scam? ;-)

Call went directly to VM because of blocking of 253-2******* exchange. famous for spam. As above the 55 sec message started out about a $3000 of grocery coupons (NOT gift cards) and went on to babble about a free (I've fallen and can't get up) senior alert. Free as in free trial. This is the real scam.
There is an article in the July-August issue of the AARP Bulletin that warns of, and explains, the medic alert for seniors scam that is well worth the reading.
