The best thing you can do to these people is to use up their precious time. They get paid by the number of "sales leads" that they can generate. If you get a live person on the line, turn it to your advantage. Just say please hang on a second, someone is at the door. Now just set the phone down and go about your business for 5 minutes or so. Go back to the phone and if they are still there, let them say a few words then interupt them and tell them that you have a caller on the other line, please hold on a second. Now just set the phone down and watch TV, have a snack, pay some bills, whatever. Come back to the phone and if they are stupid enough to still be there, keep having fun with it and see how much time you can waste of theirs. The longer, the better! Call them back repeatedly several times a day. After a while you'll actually enjoy this because you can tell they are getting pissed. Try to be nice so they won't figure it out right away and you can waste a maximum amount of their time. There is no better satisfaction than a little sweet revenge!!! Let's post here about how successful you are at wasteing their time. Be honest and post the number of minutes that you took from them here. Let's make this fun!!!
I'll post my experience now to get it started. I had 2 "hold on a second I'll be right back" for a total of 6 minutes!!!
Recieved a call from Pacifictel having the number - 971.373.2989. Looked that number up and some say it is about credit cards. They are like chameleons - they change names and numbers in order to increase the chance that you will fall for one of their ID's. If you do not answer their trick, they will continue one right after the other. The "no cal list" is a joke and so are the state laws against solicitation calls.
we keep getting phone calls form pacifictel credit card company i looked into it & found out that its a huge scam & this guy is slim. to keep phoning people that have unlisted phone #
