Another INDIAN CALL CENTER SPAM CALL. I didn't allow it to go to the machine, and 'assumed' it was yet another "Buy Solar Panels over the phone from a Complete FOREIGN STRANGER with a Credit Card" PHISHING SCAM. If so, it will be our NINETY-SEVENTH call from that scam.
One other complaint on Mr. Number said it was the IRS scam call.
Also been getting a lot of 'Fix Your Computer Remotely' calls from NON-SERVICE numbers - all with INDIAN accents lately from numbers like 305-999-9920 and also 410-555-4487 and 202-555-0172, ALL, of course BOGUS NONSENSE NUMBERS.
Guess we're targeted as one of the first to get this 'new' number call since they haven't had any success with scamming us so far!
I just got a call and called the number, same as you guys above. I told them they were full of bs, lol. The guy with the heavy accent said his name was Mike Johnson haha, that was my first clue.
I also just received a call from "the IRS" wanting me to call back for information on a lawsuit filed against me! There was no verification who the call was meant for, just a recorded female voice that started talking when I didn't even say hello.
very consistant irs freud call every day or so. Cant my goverment taxes pay (uncle sam) (irs) (fbi) (nsa!!!!!!) to some how break this scam from two years of trying to steal my money and many many others.
Prosecutors Seek 14 Years in Prison for Leader in IRS Scam
NEW YORK — Jul 8, 2015, 9:30 AM ET
Associated Press
The government says the leader of a group that duped American taxpayers into sending it millions of dollars should spend at least 14 years in prison.
Sahil Patel faces sentencing Wednesday in Manhattan for wire fraud conspiracy and other charges.
Federal prosecutors say a long prison sentence is warranted because of crimes Patel committed from December 2011 until his arrest in December 2013.
The prosecutors say people at call centers in India impersonated U.S. law enforcers and threatened victims with financial penalties and arrest if they didn't send payments.
They say Patel exploited "desperate" co-conspirators — especially women.
In a letter to the sentencing judge, Patel said he made "bad decisions" and begged for mercy.
Thanks for the info. I spent 35 minutes yester day talking to a female agent. It was unbeliveable how personal you can get with them. My wife was'nt very happy but you can't get their goat.
