In the last week sometimes 4 or more times a day I receive calls from everywhere. Area codes 777, 660, 253, 786, 717 and 3 others from cali. For any and everything. Credit cards,showers, house loans, student loans, computer access. When I have enquired on any of these things. They cry, get rude, and have even expressed some explicit behavior. What can we do. It is relentless...and the area codes are not even in the states when it's all said and done. Greece,Russia, and a man from India. Who appears on multi numbers !! Makin me nuts. Just today before I even got off wrk at 9 am i had 3 missed calls. 2 same #s and one different all 9 min apart!#
HARP mortgage modification call. I haven't had a mortgage since 1993. Wouldnt tell me how they got my number so I hung up! My friends in Denver and I have been receiving these types of calls for the past 2 months from various Washington area code numbers. Whenever any of us see area code 253 on the incoming ID, we all hang up. Just checked today out of curiosity. What scum!
Again, 3 of these calls today, 3 different numbers and 2 over the weekend. Several wanting to modify my home mortgage and 2 regarding my student loans. Spam numbers. Always display with a "+" sign before the number. Here's the problem, I retired my last mortgage in 1991, that's 23 years ago and no I have not shopped for a mortgage or equity line loan since and I have never applied for, co-signed for, or even looked into receiving a federal student loan. They do not remove me from the lists (I am on national DO NOT CALL LISTS) and the company, location, and numbers are bogus so they cannot be sued for violating the national DO NOT CALL LIST. Watch out. These guys are scam, scam scam and I suspect, because I do credit dustbusting, that these people are garnering information for identity theft.
All of you please file complaints with the FCC... Some show numerous numbers... Turn them in please....
