Total scam. Told me he was from the Windows service center and that my computer had problems. I kept him on the line as long as possible just to waste his time so he wouldn't be scamming anybody else with that time. I asked him for my IP address because anyone who supposedly had access to my computer would certainly know that. Nope. OF course he doesn't know that because he's just a scammer.
Then I asked him to explain exactly what was wrong with my computer and what version of Windows I was running. Lots of mumbo jumbo and of course he doesn't know what version of Windows I'm running.
These guys are so easy(and fun) to play with although I do feel sorry for the victims who get taken in by these scammers.
Another example of attempted scam with another 'company's identity' (Career Intelligence / www.careerintelligence.com).

I didn't answer the call...they left me a voice message. I couldn't believe that it was the same guy that had called me 3 months ago and tried to get money from me for a payday loan that wasn't paid. It was a complete scam...but he is so convincing you start questioning yourself. He threatens to call your employer and tells you that you need to have an attorney because they are going to take legal action.
