They claim to be IRS and said if i didnt return the call they would have an attorney call me.
I never received any info from IRS prior and without giving them my last name, he could not tell me why they called. Seemed kinda fishy to me. I figure if i was having any issue with the IRS i would have received some letters first.

Me too. Same thing. Heavy accent, urgent IRS business. I was getting the same kind of calls in March, from a different phone number. I've heard on the radio that it is a common scam running around now. This guy, same exact guy has called twice in two days. I will mark it as a scam call and I'll recognize it next time he calls.
same as all above... claims to be w/ IRS. called and left message twice (very unofficial sounding, didn't even wait for the beep). called back and confronted him until he hung up. willing to bet this is a scam. does not sound like official protocol the IRS would use. what a pain, but with no deterrent or punishment, things like this go on and cost the government, companies, and all of us $$$.
Obviously a foreign scam. Called several (many) times, ...Different voices leaving similar message each time, ... Never fully indicating to whom they needed to speak, ... vernacular was not really American.
Something about an urgent IRS problem that required a callback from the recipient or recipient's lawyer was uttered. This was in June of 2014 from ph# 253-617-3967. Don't waste anyone's time; block it now.
