This Jack ash called me too and I am aware of buzzards like that who extort from people who dont know any better!! In fact, I will not insult the buzzards because even a buzzard will wait till ya die before it has its fill!! Lol!!
Of course there wasn't. In order for there to be a court date you would have needed to be properly served.
This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

This Mr. Monroe called my home asking for a person who I do not know, does not live in this house and obviously gave my phone number. He was RUDE and as I told him he had the wrong number, he preceeded to say a warrant is out for whoever this person's name is and hung up. I called back to let him know this is an LEOs home. To be sure to remove my number associated with whoever this person is he is looking for. He was rude again, would not listen and comically asked if that was a threat to have my number removed from his system. He hung up on me 3 times just trying to have an intelligent conversation with this man. More than likely I will call our local police and have him reported. In this day and time, LEOs csn not trust crazy people calling their homes!
Mr. Monroe called my cell today, unknown number so I let it go to voicemail. He left a message looking for my husbands EX wife. Said something about her being a respondent in a case and he needed a statement from both parties - blah blah blah. So I phoned his number back and provided him with the correct number to reach the EX at. CLEARLY a debt collector. How in the world he got my cell number I will never know. He is now blocked and he can call the correct party all he wants.
I don't understand after reading these posts that this (guy) is still in business, extorting people that don't understand their debt and or the courts process. Please understand that when someone like this calls and cannot establish a company in the voicemail but does give a generic case number and 2 days notice to mediation that is in itself a violation of your rights. Companies do not hold trials and if a Court wants to get a hold of you, they have your licensed address and will contact you via mail. Usually certified mail, especially when being charged with a " Felony ". You will never be incaesarated for owing money. If that was the case, 60% of the population would be in jail. My question is , we have all filed a complaint but yet no court has picked up " Mr. Monroe". What does that take because this guy has contacted my daughter and scared her. This is unacceptable.
