I figured this was a scam, seemed too good to be true. Thanks everyone for helping confirm my suspicions.

Thick accents and they are reading off a script. I asked them a couple questions and they kept saying the same thing. I mistakenly gave my account number, while trying to look up whether they were a scam and I hung up after they started talking about how I would need to pay them money first before receiving anything. Definitely a scam

I got multiple automated calls saying it was the IRS and they were going to file a claim on me.

I received the exact same call saying the IRS is filing a law suit and has issued an arrest warrant for me. Considering I've never got one thing in the mail about making any mistakes on my takes this is obviously a scam!!

Ya I just got the same call..everyone needs to report it to the government here's...1-800-359-3898 option  6.and report them [***]..
