My place of employment got a call from this number. We are a law firm, in Indiana, and when I picked up it was an automated message about a new 'Federal Government Student Loan Forgiveness Relief program' for students who have $10,000 or more in student loan debt. The automated menu prompts you to follow it in order to speak with someone. Seemed sketchy so I hung up. When I tried to call it back to get a company name or any details like such it said 'press 9 to be put on the do not call list, and then went to 'sorry you are having problems' 'goodbye' So...yeah..sketchy.
I hope that wasn't the reason why I received a call. When I enrolled in a school to earn additional course I understood my responsibility to repay the loan which I am doing. These people must think everyone is an opportunistic slacker with their hand out for freebies. My parents taught me better--May they rest in peace.
