Who called from 2545646894

This number call my home 3 times on 6/24

This is not a prank call.  It is a phishing attempt to gain access to your computer.  If you follow their instructions it will allow them to take remote control of your system and they install a virus on your computer.  One of the scams with this is the virus will not allow you to access the data on your computer basically holding your computer hostage, which they offer to release it for a fee.

They have called my home phone 3 times a day or night for the past week - I now pick up and hang up immediately

Phone calls stating they are from Microsoft ! Need to fix my computer. 4 calls in two days. SCAM

Received a telephone call from Eddie! The number displayed “Not Available #442-545-564-6894” & claiming to be with Matrix Idea Technical Support; the day prior claiming to be with Windows. The idiot asked me to press the Windows +R key because I had a virus. He wanted to help fix my PC, it was sending out unwanted messages on its own. Caller asked me to find the CTR key on my keyboard; I kept telling him I did not have a CTR key; after making him repeat himself about 12 times; plus continuously asking him to spell the key & explain where it was located; I finally ask him if he was talking about the CTRL key; too which he said yes. Finally, he was so disgusted & hung up.

Calls were not answered on the 24th but finally on the 25th after receiving 3 calls on June 23rd, 11 phone calls on June 24th (last one at 2137 hours) and after 6 calls on June 25th I finally answered.

These people keep calling back hour after hour non-stop & do not stop until someone answers. After you get them upset they stop calling for the rest of the day but call again either 1 or 2 days later & again keep calling until someone answers.

You know I never had phone calls until I HAD to write my phone number down when buying programs via the PC. NEVER again will I write my phone number down again for any program renewal or newly purchased. I will however, write the phone number to the company I am ordering from, so they can get these phone calls.
