Hi Im in Shelby Twp, Michigan - my wife's cell phone rang as she was answering it my cell phone rang both the same thing a girl said "sorry wrong number" and laughed 5 minutes later our home phone land line rang same thing from 256-000-0000
I work for Verizon Wireless and you can block the number from calling you by adding it to your block list as well Verizon is doing an investigation as to why this number and person is calling so many people. I was a former Alltel rep as well and before the conversion we too were experiencing these calls to mainly Michigan customers. Verizon is working to resolve the issue if you have Verizon service. So far no fraud charges have been charged to any of our customers that we are aware of and should any charges occur you would never be liable for paying them.
Same thing here. My cell phone rang. The caller ID read "256-000-0000". I answered and a lady said, "oops, wrong number." A couple of minutes later, my land line rang and the same thing happened. I'm in Battle Creek, MI
