The criticism you make of this board would be highly pertinent if it were against a board for something that were urgent to stop quickly instead of an old problem people are just "getting-tired" of "now." Personally "I" appreciate merely this opportunity to view what "other" recipients of nuisance calls experienced, sometimes just to sort basic "nuisance" calls from some which might be a deeper "threat." Also, hopefully without my coming-across as unduly-critical or confrontational, your attempt here to "scold" these basic "information-sharers," into "leaping" into becoming "crusaders," will "destroy" something that "is" valuable, without "creating" "anything." Some of this so-called "mere-defensive" information on here is sharply "enlightening--;" like two respondents' warnings to the fact that these predators unauthorizedly "sample," one's "speech," or "voice" pattern for later "abuse." There is so much more admonition that I could present you with, to furnish the context, or to drive-home the point sufficiently-further, although I am constrained by comment reply length limit. Can you furnish link to yr own blog here?
got a call from this number @ 3:05pm 10 May 14, it Saturday scumbag and I'm not going to buy, give you a credit card number, but will report you for calling. The FTC and FCC need to deport your A$$ to Saudi Arabia where they will gladly
chop your head off for this kind of harassment. $10,000.00 fine for your phone company for each call might break this crap up!
I don't usually answer a call I don't recognize but I did this time. It was female, taking a survey on AARP members and how they felt about age discrimination in the work force. I did not have an opinion for her.
But now that I think about it, how does she know if I am an AARP member?
