Answered call after noticing ph# coming up several times today. Young woman asked for me (by first name), wouldn't confirm it was me so she asked "am I speaking to (my name)"? Again I wouldn't confirm...why would I? I asked what company are you calling from? "Tungsten" From where? "Maine". Immediately told her to take this number off the list. "Okay, will do that for you, sorry."
How they got my name? I don't even have a listed ph# under my name. Needless to say, by law they have to remove the number from their list or will be fined.
Looked up on internet, aside from the chemical tungsten, all I could find was a jewelry manufacturer out of California...call centre doesn't have to be anywhere near the location of the company since it's contracted out.
PS. To stop the calls, (which are on automatic dial hence the person on the other end has a delay and you may have to say hello several times before they hear you), just say "TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST" and must comply.
