There is no stopping them, one of their miscreants said to me- "if you buy their services the calls would stop", - arrogant eh! Well, I bought me a whistle, one like those used on the football game field, with the rotating ball inside, gives an extra loud shriek. When they called I'd give them a real loud BLAST as loud as I could.
That seemed to have stopped them so far.
Probably need to expand this as an anti scam campaign.
Just got a call from "Consumer Credit services" offering to lower my interest rate today only. Foreign guy answered. Sounded Indian. I asked what card he was calling about. "Your Visa Mastercard". Really? One card has both Visa and Mastercard, huh? I asked him what company this supposed card was with. Mumbled something, sounded like three companies, one of which was Capital One. I said "just go ahead and remove me from your calling list." His reply was "nah nah nah, that's not happening", and hung up.
