About a month (+) ago I began getting these phone calls. I Googled just as everyone else has, and found the string of postings. Very irritating how people try to take advantage of others. Thing with my phone calls was that not only did it come from 1 phone number but 2 others with different "area codes". I blocked the first 2 that came through that I Googled. The third one eventually hung up on me as I was screaming at him. They say you will get $120 in gas cards for using your Visa in the last year. Don't we live in a country where nothing is free. . .especially gas? They have your last 4 digits of your c.card. I got another call yesterday and interrupted the spill of nonsense and told them to remove me from their list and hung up.
I have also been bombarded with these calls over the last two weeks. I have not ordered anything over the internet with my credit card. They called me by my first name, had the last four digits of my card and called me on my home phone which is unlisted. I don't know how they got this information. The same guy has called me twice, the last call was the same scam about recieving $120 dollars in gas cards but also he would send discount cards for different stores, Wal-Mart, Target, etc...All I had to do was pay shipping that was $2.^7(?) I'm sure I would need to pay this with my credit card! I am not happy about these calls and worried they could use what information they have to commit idenity fraud? Does anyone know if that's possible? What do I need to do??

Daughter just got a new phone from Verizon with a new number. The very same day she got the phone she received 2 calls from the number and today another scam phone number 850-497-4817.
