I actually had the same problem, I was so out of it that I confirmed the zip code. I've cancelled my card, but I was hoping you could tell me how you dealt with the problem, since your post was made about a year ago I thought you might be able to help.
THey called my daughter 4 times today on her cell. She was all worried that she owed someone money but didn't know who. She asked them the name of the company and he asked her if she was stupid he already told her 4 times. They are always preying on the elderly and kids.
Just received a call from this number at work stating the same thing. Guy from Vista Services said that I was a preferred customer of 1 of their merchants and wanted to send me $120 in gasoline vouchers. It would arrive with a brochure for some kind of "smart shoppers" program, and even if not interested in enrolling in the program, I could keep the vouchers. All he needed was for me to pay $2.95 for shipping. I told him I wasn't giving him any info. & asked how they were going to get this $2.95. He said they had a card on file (last 4 digits of my old debit card)!! The only thing I can surmise is that I purchased something online w/my card, gave my daytime ph# and that company sold my information to these people.
Recieved a call todat from this number on my cell. Did not tell me who he was but said it was regarding a visa card ending in the last 4 numbers of my card.
I told him I didn't have a visa and take me off the list. I called the number back and said a girl said they were trying to reach me regarding a purchase I made and that even if its not conferemed it would not affect my order. I didn't order anything......
Sounded like the caller was in a telemarketer or in a call center with a lot of people
I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone contacted by these people cancel their cards immediatly. They are already identified as identidy theives and are outrageously pushy and RUDE on the phone.
They had my address, last four digits of my credit card and full name. When I called the credit card company, they immediatly cancelled my card and said that they were aware of this company.
They had my old debit card number too and offered me the vouchers. They said if I wasn't interested it was fine and then rambled off the benefits. So I then said well ok I'm not interested, but it wasn't fine. They wouldn't let me off the phone and now they call 2-3 times a day. I have only bought from Gap, Old Navy, and Target recently. I hope none of them are selling info.
