Do not respond, and do not call them back. The US Government, or any agency working for the government never works this way. They will always contact you via snail mail first. If you want to have some fun, you can call them back and recite limericks, or read "Moby Dick" to the scammer.
They left me a voicemail saying I had committed a federal offense and this was their last attempt to reach me before I need to go to court. And I haven't done anything wrong.
This number is a scam, the said that they are calling from IRS, and use the scare tactic of if I don't make payment by the end of the phone call, there will be a warrant for my arrest. I check and double check and that is not how IRS operate, they will never call you and they only contact you thru certified mail. so beware of this SCAM!!!

got the same call by the same number.. left voicemail saying its their final attempt to reach me and all that.. didn't call back.. usually you'll know its a scam if the message left was voice recorded.. funny thing I've noticed though. these calls usually only occur within the tax season..
Called yesterday, blocked caller and today somehow they are going straight to my voicemail without call coming in....leaving message that I am going to jail.
