Got a call from this number at 4:59 a.m. Thursday, August 25th. Answered and a woman said something I could not understand, then hanged up. The total call time was 13 seconds. I called right back and got a recording that the number is non-working!
This is the second time I got a call from this number.The first was on 05/18 the next time on today at 9:26am. What can the police do about those calls.
Help.
Some guy called; I picked up; tells me I won 5 Million dollars. I tell him I am not interested that nobody gives something for nothing and still I have not entered any contest that notifies you by phone.
Calls again; Leaves message on the answering machine; gives an American name yet he sounds like he is from India. Again with this contest bid; I cannot understand his spoken English on the message. I DO NOT PICK UP ANYMORE.
THIS NUMBER CALLED ME PRETENDING TO BE A MR ANDERSON OF THE U.S. TREASURY INSISTING MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, ADDRESS, AND OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION UNDER THE PRETEXT THAT HE WAS THE U.S. TREASURY WITH INFORMATION FROM SOCIAL SECURITY THAT I AM DUE A INCREASE IN BENEFITS. I CALLED THE POLICE AND THE FBI, AND RECEIVED A INCIDENT NUMBER, BECAUSE THIS PERSON HAS MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. FRAUD AND IDENTIFICATION THEFT.
