I got threatened by these people claiming to be investigators, I was read charges that have been filed and told if I didn't pay 1,500.00 today a warrant would be issued for my arrest for a payday loan I paid in 2008, I called the police and a lawyer, now I have fight to get my money back. I should of smarter and not paid but when your kids are watching their father threatened in that manner I didn't know what else to do. They also told me my bail was set at 9000.00. Caller Id said sugarland Texas .

Legitimate process servers do not call to warn you, or to get money from you to stop the process.  They will deliver the notification without warning.

What can you do now?
Well, that depends on how you sent the money.
If you sent it via an untraceable means, then it is gone.  The callerID was probably spoofed.
In any case, follow up with your local Law Enforcement, and the appropriate agencies I have linked to above.

I called my local police and they informed me this is complete bs as he said I filed numerous complaints and concated a lawyer.

i talked to them again and they said they would give the money back but the warrant would kick out again.

In my case they called my friend asking for my where abouts but today they called my phone and left a message stating felony charges were pressed against me and that if I don't respond a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I fell into the trap once before and paid $900 but when the call happened again I went to get legal assistance and was told not to respond or call them back and to verify the number like I did just now and so happy this was here.
