This guy just called my elderly grandmother and sadley did get some info from her to access her computer he said he worked for windows tech dept for microsopht. He said his name was Jack Taylor but sounds like he is from another country. He did have access to this computer I don't know how to make sure everything is ok and im scared he is going to or has obtained personal info!! He was also trying to get her to send him money 450$ and we have no idea how he got our phone number.
Yes I got a call from the same company they blocked the ID on me and I asked them for there number and that was the number they gave me. They were offering help with viruses but I knew it was bad cause the number they called was a new number and I never registered it before. I had a feeling it was a scam so I gave the guy a hard time and he hung up on me. No real business would do that.
I have received TWO calls from these people. Both times they insisted I give them information to access my computer remotely to remove the virus infecting my machine.
I did not give them any information.
