Got a call from this called stating his name was a Mr. Dorsey from a company called WCCI out of Washington DC. Stated that I owed a loan debt and that if I didnt pay within a couple of hours that there would be a warrant out for my arrest. Also said the bill had to be paid by moneygram with an address in jacksonville florida. But yet the phone number comes up in Texas. Be aware because I have investigated myself same company calling others and stated different names and buisnesses. They will also have your acct number as your SS#.... Be very careful I have reported them to local authorities. I tried to call them back and got another guys answering machine! Be carefull!!!
No one in scam capital Jacksonville demanding wired money is to be trusted. A debt collector's threats of arrest, imprisonment, lawsuit filing, and/or asset seizure violate federal and state laws. If the agency has a US presence, you can sue them into submission and a possible payback.
That may be the case for this firm. The acronym works out to "Weinberg, Cochran, Coulson, & Irwin". (Got that spelling from a phone directory listing.) Their whole operation sounds very close to the fake payday loan collectors overseas, which usually cannot be touched by a summons. Related threads follow.
