I keep getting phone calls from man named Andy Butler several times a day stating my social security number is under investigation. He calls from Houston law firm I live in Louisiana he has heavy middle east accent he keeps threatening me about filling legal action and sending local sheriff to my door if I don't return his calls. Can someone please tell what this is all about and how to stop the harassing phone calls?
These people have been calling my cell non-stop and my place of employment. They actually told my co-worker that there is an investigation regarding my social security number and that they needed to have me call them back. He claimed his name was "Peter Parker". If this were a REAL law firm, they would know that they are not allowed to talk about anything with anyone other than who they are calling. Now, I have an "Andy Butler" calling, again my social is under investigation, there has been a criminal filing made against me and I BETTER call them back or face the consequences. Since I am employed by an attorney, I know this behavior is unacceptable and inappropriate, UNETHICAL!
Everyone please note this is a SCAM. I have had this happen to me once before. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION AND DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY TELL YOU. I had foreigners calling me pretending to be a law firm representing Cash Fast Loans which is an online website to apply for personal loans. They actually created an account for and somehow had gotten all of my information except for my drivers license. They told me I owed that website some 300 dollars and wanted to me verify all of my personal information over the phone. How the scam worked, if you fall victim, is you transfer the "money owed" to your made up account and they transfer it out so it looks as though you took it out yourself. This Huston Law Firm which I just looked up and this number isn't even part of their directory is doing the same thing. They are trying to trick you into paying money you do not owe
I got a phone call today from a so called law frim from texas and they say I am getting a phone supena and I donot even work at the place they said I worked at anymore. I called them back constanly for 12 times in arow. Then they said my social security nimber was getting investgate as well. I kept on pissing them off and the last time I called them I told them I was going to come and kill all of them and I know the law cause I got my Associates degree in Paralegal and my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. I have not got a call back.
