they called me serveral times, now they call leave a msg, for someone else, of whom I do not know, saying that he is from a law firm in Houston, Tx, the caller ID says it is orginating from Splendora, Tx. a suburb of Houston, Tx, I checked the Houston lawyers, directory, on the web, it had no such number that I could see. (281) 306-0261 it showed the (281) as an area code, and the 306 as a prefex as well as other prefexs with the same area code.
Called and told me I was being sued by Cash net america. I dont have a loan with cash net. He threatedn to call the sheriff on me. Said he was suing me for $2K
This is definitely a scam. This happened to me once before. It's when u apply for a payday loan. Wish I learned my lesson the first time. Same thing Indian accent wishing me luck i wouldn't worry about it. The first time it happened to me I was scared out of my mind. I called my lawyer and gave him the number they call from. After awhile it just went away on its own. I can't remember but I think my lawyer disnt even call. It just went away on its own. Just don't panic these guys can't do anything but it is annoying to be harassed for doing nothing wrong
at the time i was paying on a loan and how to stop for personal reasons and then they decided to call me and i had told my mom she was so worried that she ended sending them the money and now i realized when i called my loan people they said that i was still current and they never called for a lawyer in the first place.
